About SiPP

We’re committed to uncovering stories that highlight the places and people that make destinations stand out in a crowded media landscape.

Let’s Share Interesting Places & People

Specializing in travel and tourism, we know that it is the local history, culture and people on the ground that make memorable travel experiences worth sharing.

Our experienced team is actively involved with a number of industry associations, including the Society of American Travel Writers, Public Relations Society of America, New York Travel Writers, and more. When journalists are seeking new story ideas, they turn to us to share client news and to connect them with the brands we represent.

The SiPP Team

Katie Papadopoulos, President

Katie’s interest in travel can be traced back to her childhood. Having spent most summers with her extended family in Greece, she learned from an early age to appreciate the cultural differences and innate similarities between people living in different parts of the world. This interest in international cultures led her to study international relations at American University in Washington, DC, focusing on Western Europe and specializing in International Communications.

Since starting in travel communications in 2009, Katie has worked with national and regional destinations like Belgium, New Zealand, Québec, Emilia Romagna, and Chicago. Her work has resulted in print, online, and broadcast outlets including the New York Times, Boston Globe, Elle Décor, Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, AFAR, Lonely Planet, Raw Travel TV, and many others.

After over a decade as a travel public relations professional, Katie still feels that electric excitement every time she opens a journalist’s eyes to new, unexpected story ideas!

Stephanie D’Adamo, Senior Communications Supervisor

Stephanie caught the travel bug during a high school trip to London when, as a shy teenager, she stepped out of her comfort zone and bonded with fellow travelers and their hosts. That experience taught her to seek out deep personal connections. She discovered her passion for public relations while studying at Marist College, because it combined her love for the written word with her desire to connect with people on an intellectual and emotional level. Being able to put her Global Studies minor to work turned out to be an added bonus!

Since beginning her career, Stephanie has worked with destinations including Chicago, Quebec, New Zealand and Emilia-Romagna, the Finnish flag carrier airline Finnair, and various tour operators including Extraordinary Journeys, Geringer Global Travel, Perillo Tours, Zicasso, Classic Escapes, Specialist Journeys, JourneYou and Osiris Tours. She has also been the media coordinator for the annual Visit Europe Media Exchange (VEMEX) for the past five years.

She has secured story placements in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, CNN Travel, Departures, Conde Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, AFAR and many others.

More Than Just Public Relations
