Global Traveler Dives Into Chicago Neighborhoods
In the magazine’s current issue, Global Traveler dives into Chicago neighborhoods. Though the city is known for its famous downtown, Chicago is home to 77 neighborhoods. Each neighborhood has its own distinctive flavor and vibe that makes Chicago a melting pot.
With this diversity in mind, Choose Chicago CEO Lynn Osmond is focusing on investing in Chicago neighborhoods. Successful programs like Chicago Alfresco introduced locals and visitors to off-the-beaten-path neighborhoods like Chatham, Humboldt Park and Rogers Park.
Another neighborhood gaining major attention is Bronzeville. Once known as Chicago’s “Black Metropolis”, there is a massive Lakefront development project taking place here. Furthermore, the nearby McCormick Place has welcomed back conventions and trade shows in droves.
What better opportunity to indulge in some “bleisure” (business & leisure travel) than by diving into some Chicago neighborhoods?
