Chicago hotels in Hospitality Design range from repurposed historic buildings to trendy new structures.

On the renovation front, The Ritz-Carlton Chicago and Four Seasons Chicago both recently underwent multi-million dollar redesigns and upgrades.

On the rebranding front, the historic Carbide & Carbon building is now the Pendry Chicago. The upcoming LaSalle Hotel from Marriott’s Autograph Collection is also an adaptive reuse of a block-long Daniel Burnham building.

After the opening of the Sable at Navy Pier in 2021, another highly anticipated property is in the works. The St. Regis Chicago will open in late 2022, in a new skyscraper designed by local architect Jeanne Gang.
